Most Current Program: As we celebrate our national holiday of Thanksgiving, we are called to show gratitude for Gods miracles. Cincinnati Archbishop Daniel E. Pilarczyk helps us become Grateful Believers. Listen to program #08-47 (November 17, 2008) (Help) #08-47 (November 17, 2008) Highlights from this episode of American Catholic Radio include: Saint of the Day Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha
Our Thanksgiving feast recalls the first grateful meal shared by Native Americans and pilgrims centuries ago. And in keeping with that observance, Saint of the Day focuses on a young woman beatified on June 22, 1980, by Pope John Paul II, the first Native American to receive that honor. Living Faith Alice Jankowski wrote the book, In The Name of the Father, about Gods miracles in her ordinary life. Her stories are as common as breathing and as miraculous as the wonder of God.
Ask a Franciscan Scripture scholar Father Hilarion Kistner responds to questions: What is the significance of the woman described in Revelation chapter 12? What does the beatitude Blessed are the poor in spirit mean? Does the Bible restrict our food and clothing choices? What does Jesus mean when he tells Peter to feed my sheep?
Minute Meditation This programs Minute Meditation is from Loves Measure written and read by Ursuline Sister Bridget Haase.
Portrait of Paul Pauls First Missionary Journey
In observance of the Vaticans Year of St. Paul, we bring you another Portrait of Paul from Father Norman Langenbrunner. One of the amazing features of Pauls life is his travel. As the apostle to the Gentiles, he logged thousands of miles evangelizing and establishing local churches. Father Norm tells us of the first of these journeys.
