Second Sunday of Advent
John the Baptist plays a central role in the readings this week. He is a prophet, a man that rocks the boat and stirs the hearts of those that hear his message. He moved people to action. They took a look at their lives and realized they had decisions to make. Who are the prophets in our own lives today that help to guide us in the right direction? Do we recognize them when they are around?

This week’s musical selection is “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming”, 15th Century Carol. Music by Michael Praetorius, arrangement by Karl Kohlhase.
